                                                                 Work Parties



1. Rod and Gun General Work Party Dates:  

a. 10 Jul 2010 (Sat), starting at 9am - Sugar Shack (building T-145)

- Remove Sugar Making equipment from Sugar Shack and place in Shed Provided.
- Clean out Sugar Shack and remove all garbage to include cleaning of cupboards and dusting all down.

If time permits stack all debris from around the area into piles shorted by type (metal, wood, garbage etc). Cut
grass around building if required.

Note: Members attending are advised to bring work gloves with them and wear heavy boots (vs. sandals) to complete
job.


b. 15 Aug 2010 (Sun), starting at 9am - Sugar Shack (building T-145)

- Clean area around building and cut grass if needed.
- Clean inside of Indoor Archery Range (dust and wash down bathrooms and or equipment on interior etc).

Note: Members attending are advised to bring work gloves with them and wear heavy boots (vs. sandals) to complete
job.


2. Work hours with R and G - Any members requiring work hours to hunt this fall and are unable to attend on dates
given are to contact Sgt Dave Moores at work email:

Members are reminded that once fall hunting season starts work parties will be limited and members should try and complete
their hours during the summer months.


3. Executive Work Parties - Any executives who require work parties are requested to inform undersigned to ensure
access to equipment to complete task if required.

                                 Rod & Gun Club Jackets

Attention all Members:  We are seeking information from Members who may be interested in purchasing a polyester jacket with the Base Borden Rod & Gun Club crest on the front.  At this time we anticipate the price to be approximately $40 + tax.  We will confirm the exact price once we know the number of jackets being ordered.   If you are interested, please complete the attached form.








 

 


Important Message for Associate Members - Work Hours


New Club Regulation

 

A new regulation has been voted in concerning work involvement in the Club for Associate Members.  The new rule will be in place to create a selection process for Associate Members to secure a chance at the Controlled Hunts when tags are limited.

Associate Members wishing to hunt will have to work a minimum amount of hours throughout the year which will consist of one of the following formats:

- work for the entire duration of 2 events (of more than 3 hours each) or

- work 10 hours of “work party” time or

- work for the entire duration of 1 event & 5 hours of “work party” time.

The required work time / events will be kept and registered by the personnel organizing the work / event.  It will be compiled by the Secretary and will be provided to the Hunting Director for validation, prior to the start of hunting.

    Membership Renewals

  

A reminder that the membership period runs from April 1st through to March 31st.

For all Regular and Ordinary Members, please contact our Membership Director, Mark Rittwage.   Mark can be reached at 705-424-1200   local 3416, or email:  mark.rittwage@forces.gc.ca
 

Alternatively, activity directors may sell you a membership if the Membership Director does not return your call or email within 7 days.

For all Associate Members, submit your applications before 1 April 2010 so that we can vote on your acceptance at the Executive Meeting in April 2010.  DO NOT SEND IN ANY MONEY YET!  Once the Executives have voted, acceptance and rejection letters will be sent out to all Associate Members advising you of your status. Remember, that acceptance from one year to the next is not guaranteed; we currently have more Associate applications than positions available. Dues will be payable upon receipt of an acceptance letter. All members: Regular, Ordinary and Associate will receive their cards when the Club receives payment of your membership dues.
