Here at CFB Borden we offer members of the Base Borden Rod and Gun Club the opportunity to take advantage of the ranges for all kinds of target practice and shooting. You can participate in handgun, rifle, shotgun and black powder shooting. We also hold a number of competitions throughout the year.
The Langemark range is open to Club Members and their guests. The shooting building located on bay 2 is now closed for shooting from within, however it is still available to get warm and out of the elements.
If you have any questions, or if I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Permit to Transport
A.T.T.
All Members who wish to shoot restricted weapons, ie
hand guns and some long guns, must have a permit to transport for Base
Borden. This A.T.T. is range specific
for Base Borden, unlike those for an outside club range which allows you to go
to 29 different club ranges in Ontario, not including Base Borden.
Procedure for obtaining a A.T.T.
1) You must have a current membership in the
BBR&G.
2) Forward this number plus your FAC number to Paul
Monkhouse by e-mail or regular mail.
3) It can take up to 4weeks to obtain this form , it
will be forwarded to you as soon as it arrives.
4) If you terminate or let your membership lapse, the
A.T.T. is automatically terminated
Sign yourself in before moving equipment to the firing line.
Your club membership must also be visibly displayed in
clear plastic or shown to the RSO at sign in.
All personnel shall have hearing and eye protection
before approaching the shooting line and wearing it while on it.
Get RSO's permission before moving to the firing line.
Equipment and or people may only be moved on or off the
shooting line with the RSO's permission and on a Red Flag only.
When on the line, leave enough space between you and the
next shooter to shoot safely.
Firearms will be handled, loaded only at the firing
line. This will be after the "load
and fire at your own target on your own time" command.
Upon the command "cease fire", all firing stops
at once. Firearms are unloaded, actions
are left open. Firearms are laid on a
mat, table, etc.
with muzzles pointed down range. All shooters step back from the firing
line. This allows the RSO quick and easy
access to check all firearms.
During a "cease-fire", no-one will make
adjustments to equipment, handle firearms or ammunition while people are down
range.
Note: If anyone
sees something unsafe, they may call a "cease-fire". It is an automatic "cease-fire" if
an animal or person appears on the berm or range.
Unloaded firearms not in use should be placed on a table,
mat or ground with the action opened or trigger lock on with the muzzle pointed
down range. If available, put in a case.
No person is allowed forward of the firing line without
the express permission of the RSO and only after a "cease-fire" has
been called and all firearms have been declared safe and flag has been changed
to green.
After you are finished shooting for the day, pick up
empty cartridges, casings, garbage, etc.
Take down targets and clean up any mess around them.
Put away any range equipment you have used, eg. target
holders, tables, sand bags, etc. Any non
rod and gun targets must be patched before being put away.
Note:All shooters are reminded of the following range hours: Langemark Range will open at 10am*
Long Range will open at 9:30am
*On days of Hunter qualifing Langemark will open at 12 noon
