Junior Activities Club

Welcome to the Junior Activities Club.  This Club was officially stood-up at the BBR&GC Annual General Meeting of January 2006.

The club was stood-up to encourage awareness and appreciation for our natural resources and   environment.   The aim of the Club is to pass on to our children the skills and knowledge that we the staff and members of the Rod and Gun have gained over the years.

A few of the proposed events for this Club include.

  • Children’s Spring trout Derby (Catawampus Pond);
  • Shooting, bow & arrow and rifle;
  • Map and compass reading;
  • Wilderness survival;
  • ATV and Snowmobile safe riding techniques;
  • Fly tying;
  • Fly Fishing; and
  • Bird and Bat house construction.

Due to the safety concerns of many of these activities, parents must accompany children on all events unless otherwise stated during registration.

To enroll in this Club, parents must obtain a family membership to the Base Borden Rod and Gun Club.   The standard application form is used.   Events will be sent by news bulletins so stay tuned!
